I have a BVW-70 that use to record VITC but no longer does from the internal generator. It will record VITC from a digibeta source with VITC. I assume the internal VITC generator died in my case. I assume you are judging the presence of VITC by the Green VITC light. Will the deck show a green VITC light with a known good tape that has VITC. My deck will read but not generate. If it's on multiple machine that seems strange.
