[Avid-L2] Re: H.264 Gamma Shift Adjustment Standards?

If you can't export to ProRes directly, something I haven't trusted myself, you can export a QT ref from Avid then open the Ref .mov in QT Pro and export a self contained ProRes .mov. That has had the best level matching for me. Then do whatever else is suggest to the self contained prores .mov. I do this all the time on SNDX 5.5.3 on Mac OS 10.6.8 QT 7.6.6.

Is this new in 6 or 6.5 (as soon as I finish with this project I'm upgrading, but not until)? I only see Avid and XDCam codecs. I have the ProRes codecs installed, that is unless I need to copy them to someplace special for Avid.
