Output for broadcast is the least of my concerns, as that constitutes
a tiny fraction of what we do now. There are so many essential tasks
today that require CPU cycles. For instance, just yesterday I had to
transcode a 3 min. clip from a DSLR and image stabilize it. Certainly
not "real time" stuff.
