Not that bad, actually - and actually, the activation is pretty convenient.

I use one license that I rotate between several of the lesser-used machines, including a mostly-offline-bay-that's-mostly-off, and my home iMac and my personal Laptop. And, even from home, I can 'force' deactivate the machine I'm NOT using at the time - so I don't have to remember to deactivate one of the machines at the office before activating the home machine. The other account names I have written down, and you never need to enter them unless you're going to move the activation.
