I'm from New Orleans originally, so if a sacrificial chicken is called for I am open to it. Maybe the thought of it did the trick. The film project loaded... well, after closing the bins and rebuilding the msm database. Love the tip to start the project holding the opt key down to close bins. I will definitely use that down the road!
I'll probably put a chicken on the BBQ tonight, and build a shrine to Avid L-2.
THANK YOU ALL for your prompt help!!
Roberto

I'd say do the same renaming of the AvidMediafiles folder on the SSD drive with the renders. I usually just stuff the folders into a new folder to take them off the root of the drive. Maybe take them both out off Avid's sight and restart. Also when you start the project hold down opt/alt so Avid will open with all the bins closed. Then try opening one bin at a time. If it still won't launch try the new project and open the bins from it as someone has already suggested. Do you have some other projects that do open?
