Good info I will pass this on. I read the manual and it sounds like as long as the FCP station has the Avid Codecs for QT installed that FCP Import 2.0 will take media embedded in the AAF and make QT ref movies linking to the embedded media and those will play in FCP. Am I misreading that part? I would think if that's how it works that would eliminate the need to export movies but I think I'm missing something here.

Is that like importing an aaf in Avid where you end up with a sequence and all the clips in the bin? The process they have done so far was to export prores clips of all the clips in the bin. Would they still need to export the clips to QT .movs and then take the clips created in the aaf import into FCP and link them to the .mov's? Or will the trip allow for embedding the media in the aaf.
