I have about 50 DV tapes of my kids growing up that will never see the light of day unless I start to digitize and make movies on a drive and to burn to DVD. Camera is long gone. My question is, is anyone successfully digitizing DV tapes with current version of Avid on a MacBookPro. I have an old DVX100 that Avid does not recognize. I would buy a used sony deck like a DSR1500 or DSR 11 if I knew Avid on the laptop would control it. But I thought Id check with you guys to see if anyone has had any luck. I have not had DV tapes come into the suite for about 3 years now and not set up here to digitize either. Id rather do it at home at night but MBP may not cut it.
Any suggestions?
