All I can attest to is that with a MacPro, I definitely share my BMD 3D card between MC6.0 and Resolve 8.0.
No clue about PC. No clue about laptop/PCI Express. I doubt there's a USB video solution.
I'm pretty sure that the AJA IO - the one before the IOXT - ran off of PCI Express. I definitely had used that for MC.
Really, the only support for Resolve for video out is BlackMagic products, since they own Resolve.
