TV Promo/Theatrical Trailer Editors Wanted (Burbank)
Established Los Angeles based entertainment marketing company is seeking freelance creative television promo/theatrical trailer editors to join our team. We're looking for freelance editors interested in a long-term relationship with the possibility of the freelance positions becoming full-time staff positions.

Candidates must have direct editorial experience working in TV promo and/or theatrical trailers. Candidates should be familiar with projects involving editorial, motion-graphics and sound design and should be proficient with both Avid and Final Cut Pro. Candidates should also be familiar with post-production workflows, frame rates and formats. The position requires the ability to prioritize assignments, multi task, and work well under pressure in a creative, friendly, but fast paced environment. To be considered for the position, you must be able to submit a demo reel.

If you do not have direct editorial experience in television promo and/or theatrical trailers and/or are unable to submit a demo reel, please do not apply.

Responsibilities: 

- Creatively edit short form television and/or theatrical trailers.
- Creatively edit other forms of short form projects such as sizzle reels and presentations.
- Consult with the producer, creative director and/or client throughout the post-production process.
- Suggest and/or select music.
- Occasionally write copy.
- Be willing to experiment with creative styles and/or techniques, including the design of graphic elements.
- Prep editorial elements for handoff to sound mix and/or online (EDLs, OMF etc).
- Be able to follow direction.
- Work well in a collaborative, creative environment.
- Work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

-  2+ years experience editing TV promo and or theatrical  trailers.
- Ability to cut in both Avid and Final Cut Pro.
- Experience working on a shared SAN that allows projects sharing a plus (i.e. Avid Unity, XSAN, Editshare, Faclis etc. . .)
- Understanding of project timelines, workflow, and delivery.
- Understanding of delivery specs, file formats, codecs, HD/SD resolutions and frame rates.
- Strong understanding of Macintosh Computer systems.
- Proactive, hard working team player that gets along well with others.
- Calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) a plus. 
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or After Effects a plus.
