[Avid-L2] Re: Laptop MC/Resolve setup

 

I did a little research on the black magic products and express cards and the problem for my MBP the express card slot was the 1.0 standard and didn't have the throughput for me to run an express card to USB 3 card and drive a BlackMagic product. BM tech support got back to me within a day to say unless you have USB 3 built in or thunderbolt they didn't have a solution for a laptop. Perhaps this changed in the last few months but I'm not aware of any new products.
