[Avid-L2] My PC spazzed out big time?

So par for the wonderful world of freelance I never get shown all the gotchas in a particular bay until I sit down.  Today back on a PC HP Z800 Windows 7 Professional Avid SNDX V 6.0.1.1 IIRC.  I don't know why they aren't on a later build but that's not my call.  First the wacom intuos 4 was acting a little strange in symphony and the cursor would go from the normal pointer arrow to the double arrows you get when moving the side of a bin vertically or horizontally.  It would act like a cursor just had the look of the double arrows and then for some reason it would go back to normal cursor.  Curious but then the cursor started twitching with the cursor bouncing up and down rapidly like a ghosting image.  Grabbing the mouse didn't help then it would stop.  This happened a few times on and off in symphony and photoshop.  So I quit the programs and then watched the cursor in twitch mode act like a pacman game on the desktop.  It didn't eat anything
but it started bouncing around and drawing out rectangles and moving icons all over the desktop.  Finally I grabbed an AE because I knew no one would believe me and just chalk it up to the new guy who doesn't no doo doo.  After a reboot the system calmed down.  The other issue I had was when I went to make a new title from the pull down menu the title tool is all white.  If I turn the V button off the screen is black.  I tried to select all and delete but it didn't seem to work.  The system did properly recreate existing titles and let me open them and type over them but no way to start a title from scratch.  I'll try to investigate further tomorrow.  Is this a known bug I just didn't register because it hadn't happened to me in my predominantly Mac land of Avid?  If I didn't know better I'd say the system was whacked on Crack and felt like Breaking Bad at my expense.
