I believe this is true. Recent versions of Protools and Media Composer
are able to read AAFs larger than 2GB if the 'AAF Edit Protocol' box is
checked on export. However, since this is a non-standard extension of
the AAF spec, other AAF-aware applications (ie. non-Avid apps) may not
handle those AAFs properly.
