Hi Steve,

Thank you. Shirley posted an article earlier. I did a test on the Interface Brightness control in the Interface settings. I found six levels of Interface Brightness. Any of the three darker settings screw up the black. It happens as soon as the text and background invert in the preview section.

Did you see that the answer to the problem is the COLOR SCHEME you've set for the Avid? If you choose a Black or very dark color scheme, then the black locators get screwed up.
