Re: [Avid-L2] TC window burn

I'm not sure if anyone already mentioned this, but COMPRESSOR is very fast at adding a timecode window if you're using a fast multi-core machine, however, reading through the thread, you want to add SOURCE code. We do this all the time.

Use the avid timecode generator, just like you do now, but do a VIDEO MIXDOWN before making a reference QT, then use a 3rd party program like compressor or hardware (like El Gato Turbo for $99) to make the smaller resolution file.

Video mixdown is multi-thread, it's one of the things that's been re-written. QT export is NOT multi-thread, so takes way longer to render that file and export. Go figure. We've timed it. Also this is one of the things 6.x does faster still.
