Thanks Roger! And weirdly, the effects workspace is the only one that doesn't save, but it's also the only one that involves a big window configuration change, something that clearly represents a challenge for MC at this point in its life.

My comments are based on my single-monitor system but workspaces save reliably
for me. The locking up of windows (on a Mac) is fixed but the magical minimising
of windows to the top LH corner still happens sometimes :-(. There was a link to
the Readme on this list a while back - worth a look.
