Oh John, FCP has always been a product designed for young people! Having young eyes definitely helps see the tiny trim values, the faint, pink audio keyframes, and the obviously unimportant cut to tape track selectors. But it also helps to have no experience with any other NLE, so you don't have any reason to know what features you're missing.

find the cut to tape track buttons on FCP 7. I think the video or audio track
I'm about to punch into deserves something bigger than a grain of rice sized
