When doing AMA, I get an error message that reads...
Some clips don't match the edit rate of the current project. Transcode creates new clips that match the current project rate. Because the new edit rate doesn't match the original clip, you cannot batch capture, batch import, relink or link (via AMA) to these new clips. convert or skip clips that don't match the edit rate of the project?
By converting will this effect the work flow in a negative way? Also I was told to bring these in as XDCAM 50megbits??? Why would this fix or make the workflow better?

Are you just doing a straight import? If you are, try AMA then
consolidate/transcode. I don't believe the regular import takes advantage
of multiple processors whereas AMA is newer code and does.
