25 fps = 25 frames per second (progressive or interlaced)
25P = 25 Progressive frames per second
50i = 50 interlaced fields (25 interlaced frames) per second
As far as I'm aware, 'psf' (or PsF) refers to 'Progressive Segmented
Frame' which will only apply if you're getting your dailies supplied
on tape or in a codec that supports that format (e.g. Panasonic
AVCHD/AVCCAM.) This certainly wouldn't be my first choice of format,
but since I know nothing about your workflow, I can't really comment
further.
