Re: [Avid-L2] MC5 with MC6 software lic

 

The software licenses can be tweaked easy enough. I have systems
running MC5.5 on 6.x dongles too.

Exception: if you purchase one of the PhraseFind/ScriptSync options.
You may be unable to take those down to 5.x due to the licensing engines
Avid uses.

Sorenson might also get confused. BCC and Sonic fire disappear when you
go back to V6.

If you are already on Lion, you'll need to flip to the 32bit kernel for
MC5.5.
If you have Nitris hardware, you'll need the 64 bit kernel running for
MC6 to work.
