We don't have this problem. We routinely export 1.5 hour sequences daily
using QT refs without issue. W764 MC and Symphony 6.0.1.1

Thanks Michael, that's a huge issue. Thanks for reporting.

A huge, still unaddressed issue for us is that V6 is unable to export long
(1 hour or more) QuickTimes, even when forcing the entire sequence to
recompress to Avid DNX. 5.5.x and earlier no problem with the same
sequences. This is issue is cross platform, so beware if you're into
tapeless delivery.

there shouldn't be any problems doing that. I run MC6 on my desktop but because
my laptop isn't running the latest OS that you need for MC6, I'm running MC 5 on
it. I'm also having to switch the dongle between the two.

since it's 64bit, I lost Boris and had to purchase the full version not the
upgrade separately. Luckily it was on sale at the time. If you're getting a new
license instead of upgrading then Boris should be part of the MC6 package. Some
AVID resellers are still honoring the Symphony upgrade for $995 which includes
Boris. With the AVID upgrade and Boris, you're looking at paying about $1500.
Video Guys is still honoring the cross grade at $995 and it's the boxed version
not the download. Hope this helps.
