Re: [Avid-L2] Avid 6 lacking

While I am no help to you for a solution, I can at least report that I get this as well once in a while with local storage on a MacBook Pro (see below for specs), using DNxHD 220 through Firewire 800. For me, it will do just as you described, and then once all the drives are up to speed, I don't get the behavior again.

System configuration:
MacBook Pro 2.5 GHz, i7
Lion 10.7.2
MC version 6.0.1.1
AMD Radeon HD6770M graphics card
8 GB RAM
