[Avid-L2] Anyone buy a Wacom lately?

 

Hi -

I think I need to get a recent Wacom tablet; my current model is old so It's Just Time.

The main use for this is simply an alternate to the mouse with Media Composer on a PC.

Question 1:
I've done this with Avid and FCP on the Mac, will I be able to use it in place of the mouse for everything on the PC the way I can on my Macs?

Question 2:
I find the product line a touch confusing at the moment. My hunch would be the multitouch capable ones might be good for the future, but I can also see somehow that being useless or worse, problematic, with Media Composer. I'm *not* looking at the Cintiqs as I freelance and need something that move easily with me.

Any recent experience is helpful, thanks!
