Subject: [Avid-L2] [FR] Open Recently Used Bins
Have you ever accidentally closed a bin with an all-too-quick Cmd-W with the
wrong bin active, and then have to locate that bin again amongst the very
many that are in the Project? Oh... I'm alone on that one am I? ;)
In other applications (e.g. MS Word, Photoshop), I can go to the File menu
and in some fashion be able to open previously opened documents. This would
be useful with regard to bins. I suggest it be in the File menu as well, in
order to conform to the way other apps work (rather than placing it under
the Windows menu). I like the way Photoshop does it. It provides an "Open
Recent" menu which gives you a submenu. This keeps the File menu
uncluttered. MC could have "Open Recent Bins." I also suggest a Bin Setting,
allowing the user to customize how many recently opened bins will appear in
that list (maybe with a max of 20).
And now that I have found the bin I just accidentally closed, I will get
back to work.
Cheers,
B
