AFAIK, turning off the TC button makes recapture in the future a major PITA, as the tapes' TC will be replaced by Time Of Day TC, which of course does not relate in any way to your original source tapes. That means that if you had to recapture in the future, you'd also have to replace each shot in the Sequence by hand . . . by eyeballing it . . . not to mention remixing all the audio.

Then I realized I forgot that you could also modify the clips and enter the correct TC . . .
Still some extra work though.
