If your going to apply logic to the situation you might as well borrow Bob Z's shotgun and just put me out of my misery. If I didn't know better I'd think Red was giving kickbacks to DP's that talk productions into shooting with the Red even if it isn't the right tool. But what do I know? Those kind of things never happen in our industry? Oh wait I remember a post house that offered to give a 10% commission on effects tools billing like the ADO. I felt like I needed a hot shower after that conversation. Now that I reviewed the Red site I see only the Red Mag external media option and that appears to be compatible with Red One, Epic and Scarlet. I don't understand why the EP was told only the Epic had the external media drive option. Perhaps there is a non Red unit for external storage that I'm not aware of.
