All of us do.

Amen brother!

I don't believe for one instant that he meant they were going to sit on their laurels. Just that they need to refine the targeting of their products.

I can guarantee you that they ARE listening. Whether that means their limited resources get assigned to the things we want is a separate question. But when you get to know the folks working in Avid, they know what we want, and if given the resources, they would love to give us everything we want. What company doesn't want all their customers happy?
<< Isn't one of the definitions of insanity doing the same thing over and over again -- and expecting a different outcome?>>
That may be true, but it doesn't apply here. The Avid of the last three years is FAR different than the Avid of even five years ago, And definitely the Avid of ten years ago. There has been enough change to qualify as not doing the same thing over and over. That doesn't mean we won't be eventually disappointed, but it also means we aren't insane for hoping the company that produces our favorite NLE pulls through in the end.
