[Avid-L2] DVD workflow

I have a 2 hour program shot 720/60 that needs to go to DVD. Sequence is cut on MC 5.5. I exported a QT reference from Avid and used in Squeeze (which took forever to format) and then just burned in Studio Pro. But the video looks fuzzy and goes in and out of blur. First attempt in Squeeze left me with a 6gig video file which failed in DVD burn so I set the size down to 3 gigs in Squeeze and went again. But as I say, its funky video.

I was going to try compressor but for some reason wont accept the QT reference so wondering if I should export a movie from Avid first. I don't normally work with projects of this length so any suggestions to get this thing looking decent on DVD would be helpful.
