Agreed. I have been using avid since 1994. My avid editing has become reflexive in that time, meaning I don't have to think about how to communicate with the interface, I just decide I want to do something and do it. v5 broke this and I am constantly having to figure out why what my hand is doing is not making the avid do what it is supposed to do.
I am all for change if it is a meaningful change...I am not for making a change to make your product more like final cut or more like some other product in your brand ( oh and smart tool must DIE).
