Yes, but dongles are paid options (like 299 USD or something). You can't get them in the Store, I believe, only through Avid.

The default option (without a dongle premium price) is an activation code, which is NOT machine-specific(!), so you can still move the activation code between different machines/setups. Deactivate on one, activate on the other. Only one activation can be active at any given time. There's free support for if your license activation goes bad.

The main differences: software licensing and deactivation requires an internet connection (either on the system itself or on a separate system nearby); and unlike dongles, activation codes only work for a specific version of the software (so if you have a v6 dongle, you may launch any older version of MC with that dongle attached, but an activation code for v6 will only let you launch v6, not an earlier version).
