We work this way constantly. Terrablock shared partitions (AKA Multiwrite drives) show up as network drives just like Unity. If you look in the hardware tool in MC, you will even see the Terrablock drives showing up as Unity drives.
We have not had any problems in the cross platform Avid experience.
