I have a rental Harris DL-860 legaliser from a dub house. I'm a 16-235, 0 millivolts to 700 millivolts kinda guy. That may be too conservative for some but it gets me through QC and I color correct so things aren't getting clipped etc.... I'm curious as I found this legaliser setup kinda odd given it came from a dub house. Some of the settings were 0 or 700 millivolts and some were way high like 740 millivolts and way low around -40 millivolts. I know the Harris factory defaults are very wide but they claim those are still within reason. I found it strange that in SD legaliser settings the CB high limit was 700 millivolts but the CR high/upper limit was 740ish millivolts. That seems wrong to me but I'm curious if anyone has had a request to have this legaliser set to different upper limits between CB and CR. I'm thinking it's an oversight by the dub house operators but perhaps there is something new I can learn here. Curious what others
have experienced or think in this regard.
