When you're editing bin text, the home and end keys will now take
you to the start/end of the text, so all is not lost. This doesn't work
as well as the up/down (or left/right) arrows moving to the start/end of
the highlighted text, though. I often find I want to go to the end of
the text, and then back up a few characters -- more naturally
accomplished when you can stay on the arrow keys, instead of having to
jump back and forth between the home/end and arrow keys.
