The thing that used to get me in a twist was the apostrophe. I was comfortable with using it when contracting two words, but that was it. Any other time, I'd just pop one before the 's' at the end of a word if I didn't think it looked right without it.
I'm a little embarrassed to say it, but it was only a nine or ten years ago that I actually nailed the whole 'possessive' thing.
