Wonderbread? Wait a sec! The situation just went from weird to FUBAR.
I purchased a Phrasefind (for V6) license but can not install it on a
donglized 6.0 Mac system.
Dongle is working. Avid is working. System is registered. Try using
ALC to activate the PF license. Click the PhraseFind activate button,..
ALC asks for the system ID and a 4x4 serial number. But PF has a 5x5
(alpha) serial number. And if you enter the MC6 serial #, ALC will
immediately try to retire your dongle. Catch 22. The printed
instructions on the sheets with the PF serial number are wrong.
The problem seems to be that ALC does not see the dongle. I sees a
system ID but lists it as "INACTIVE" and tries to repair this.
So how do I get this PF license to stick to this dongle?
Oye! I'm headed for the "medicine" cabinet,...again. ;-)
