[Avid-L2] uncompressed hd quicktimes for color correct

We are color correcting a spot shot on a 5D and edited in Avid and I am having difficulty preparing a qt of the sequence to take to the color correct session.  Here are the steps I have taken.

1) When we got the footage I transcoded to DNX from the raw 5D files (yay Avid, this was super simple).

2) made a cut(then recut and recut again). it was approved so I duped the sequence replaced all the shots used in the sequence with the original non dnx files by opening the AMA volume and finding the original clips. (batch import did not work nice so I had to do it by hand (boo Avid))

3) exported a qt using Avid1:1x

when I open the quicktime it is not crisp but a little fuzzy.  I export the same sequence as dnx 175 10bit, that qt is not fuzzy but nice and crisp...but I would really like to be making an uncompressed qt  not dnx as I am going to need to composite over these after the color correct and recompress as dnx for final output

Am I missing something, it seems like 1:1 should be perfect.
