[Avid-L2] Re: Breaking 5 hour QT movies into 30 minute chunks?

 

This is SD footage. I'm not sure if these would really be QT ref in the normal sense of the word. These would be 30 minute chunks cut and pasted into a new movie in QT Pro from the original 5 hour movie files. At that point you can save as a self contained or reference movie that will reference the original 5 hour chunk. The hope is to avoid having to duplicate the essence in a new self contained movie. They are going to test if the ref QT from QT Pro will then import the smaller 30 minute chunk without Avid crashing.
