Interesting development ... especially since this acquisition involves expensive, specialized hardware products that don't seem to have quite the same mass adoption potential or scalability as, say, the DaVinci acquisition.

So, is this being done to to increase the pedigree of the BMD brand -- or to incorporate some of the IP into existing products -- or maybe both?

And yes, the only parts of the puzzle that seem missing are camera acquisition and editing software. But it's always been better to sell shovels and axes to gold miners -- than to dig for it yourself.
