My fix is very much an "after market" kluge -- not a polished solution.
What is really needed is a completely different knob -- one that is designed to have the same rubberized surface treatment as most of the other surfaces on the Artist Color panel.
I'm certain it would not be hard to replace them -- as half of my knobs were not even fully-seated out-of-the-box. I had to push them down carefully on their metal posts until they were all at the same elevation off the control surface.
And I say "carefully" -- because the knobs have a push-down function -- as well as a rotational function -- and I did not want to stress the switch.
Would I prefer better knobs -- absolutely. Slippery plastic knobs are the antithesis of what is needed on this device. However, I don't really have the time to hunt down replacements. If someone else does -- please share. Otherwise, $1.37 for one foot of black silicon tubing is a quick and effective fix.
