Andy
Thelma was on one Lightworks. I would be interested to know what the
other workstations were?
And was it an open source Lightworks or one of the older models ?

Yes, EditShare has two types of "unity style" bin locking for Avid
Projects, and also for FCP projects. We have supported bin locking for
over 5 years.
We also take the "bin locking" art to a higher level with Lightworks.
With Lightworks project sharing, you don't have to close and reopen a
bin to see the changes that have been made by other users. I.E., your
assistant is capturing new clips, breaking down longer clips into
subclips, or making a stringout -- the new material just pops into your
bin right in front of your eyes. If you have a sequence open (read only)
that another user is changing (with write access), you actually see the
changes right on your timeline. It's pretty cool. Check it out some
time. One of the many reasons why -- in addition to our fantastic 3D
support -- that the forthcoming Hugo was edited on Lightworks in a
4-workstation environment.
