HOWEVER - one thing to keep in mind MC6 needs a 64 bit OS - so if you're not running that already, you need to set that up. As far as Mac, I'm not sure if 10.6.8 is officially supported in 64 bit mode- there was some discussion of that here the last few days, but I didn't follow it carefully, so I don't know the answer. 'Lion' is a bit of a pain in the ass, in my opinion, as it changes other stuff, too - and takes a couple hours to install. By comparison, loading and unloading media composer is easy.
