Fast paced post-production facility in Raleigh, NC has an immediate opening for an Avid Media Composer Editor. Number one responsibility will be the color correction and finishing of network shows.
Responsibilities include:
1. Color timing
2. Color grading
3. Green screen composites
4. Importing all special FX and graphic elements
5. Tracking and blurring
6. Final mastering All within the Avid software.
Our shows finish just days before airing therefore quality control is our number one concern. Sessions are client attended so applicant must feel comfortable running a room and making changes on the fly. Must have 8 years experience editing/finishing on Avid.
Must understand broadcast standards and be comfortable with all digital formats. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Apple Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Quicktime and Compressor a plus. Enthusiasm for creating custom post workflows is advantageous. Must be self-motivated, have creative insight, be able to take instruction and multi-task to meet the heavy workload.
Additional opportunities will include if suitable:
1. Creative offline for agency commercials and other short form spots
2. Creative offline of long form shows
3. Working with the motion designers in After Effects, Maya or XSI
4. Visual FX in Avid DS.
5. Attends industry events/conferences to network with colleagues, potential clients and to increase knowledge of industry-wide technological advances.
