you could try the Divide and Conquer method. Rename the Avid MediaFiles
folder to something else. Have the MC create a new one by creating a title.
Then, copy over a couple of hundred files from the renamed folder to the
newly created one and have MC rebuild the database. Make sure that that
happens. For a couple hundred files the rebuild should be fast.
Once the rebuild is done, drag the .mdb (database file) from the MXF folder
into one of the bins. This will create master clips referenced in the
database in the bin. Check that the clips match the media. Might be a better
idea to do this after every rebuild. Do the clips now show up?
The audio and video files in the MXF folder are discernable by the V or an A
just before the alphanumeric name preceding the .MXF extension.
