Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Reformatting MBP Partitions Question

1) Power on your new MBP
2) turn off your old MBP
3) plug it into your new one via firewire
4) turn on your old MBP
5) press and hold the T key while old MBP boots
6) once the firewire icon appears on old MBP screen, launch Disk utility from new MBP
7) find old MBP HD in list of disks, then partition it into a single partition
8) Insert OSX disk into old MBP
9) eject, unplug and reboot old MBP
10) send it to your brother when done installing

I can't seem to find how to reformat the drive to where it would once again be just one big volume, as it was the day it was born (but keeping the OS X 10.6.7 that 's currently on it).
