So I've got this relatively new MBP that I'm giving to my brother and I need to wipe it clean. As it stands I have two volumes partitioned, as I once had FCP on one and Avid on the other. But now I want it to be a single volume, virginal machine as it was when I bought it.
In any case, I've gotten a new MBP and now I'm sitting here staring at the disc utility not knowing how to proceed. I can't seem to find how to reformat the drive to where it would once again be just one big volume, as it was the day it was born (but keeping the OS X 10.6.7 that 's currently on it).
I know, it should be simple, and it probably is, but I can't determine if I should be in Erase or Partition or what. Any sage advice would be greatly appreciated.
