Steve I think you've come up with something far deeper than just Avid. Next time my wife tells me I forgot to take out the trash etc... I'll just tell her I'm suffering from bad user settings. Maybe she'll cut me some slack then, but knowing her she'll just hard boot me to the curb and threaten to trash my mcstate, which is usually horizontal when these things come up. ;-)
