Your 5.0 ScriptSync license will not work in MC 5.5. You will need to purchase ScriptSync if you want it under 5.5.

However, the ScriptSync license only consists of the Nexidia analysis part of script based editing. Manually marking takes in a script does not require the license. Already analyzed takes and marked scripts are accessible without the license. You can edit from scripts without a license.

So what John is referring to is that you can mark scripts with ScriptSync in any old version of MC you may own, while editing in 5.5.
