RE: [Avid-L2] Re: AMA Linking to Sony EX3 files

you can interrogate the files using the Sony Clip Browser application and if need be re-build folder structures or export Avid compatible MXF files. It's a great little program from before avid could natively handle XDCAM footage but it is still really useful for loads of stuff, including being a great free logging program for people on set. HTH,

Make sure that there are no slashes, spaces, accented characters, etc. in neither the folder names nor the name of the volume - just letters numbers, dashes and underscores. I had a very similar problem recently due to this.

In the three other folders only some are online, some offline. What's going on? Is it file corruption? The files were sent to me on a HD, so obviously they were copied. Are the offline files lost or can they be restored somehow? If I have them re-sent to me what should I do to have the cameraman guarantee they are good before they get to me from overseas?
