I would like to find a clarification to this as well; the literature is a
vague. Apparently, with Ventura, capture "works" on a Mac, but nothing is
stated about Win7. Has anyone pierced the word "directly" yet relative to
5.5.1 and PC? My bet is that it can be done, but Avid isn't sure, and
therefore simply won't qualify it (yet.) That is understandable, but the
dice am willing to roll are my own. Any suggestions?

Matrox have a capture app fro the mini that will capture Avid compatible
media.
