Thanks for the pointer, Bogdan.

It looks like the timecode track runs at a different rate than the video.

CatDVPro reports the following:
"Timecode format doesn't match framerate (25!=2398)"

I would guess the mismatched 25 fps timecode rate is an artifact of
QTChange being a European program that mostly cares about PAL.

It looks like Avid is handling the timecode track discrepancy
differently depending on whether it is an old-fashioned import, or AMA
link. I'm working in an HD 23.98 1080p project, BTW.

Now it's a total crapshoot which of the two timecode values will work in
an EDL!
