[Avid-L2] Re: 3D like images...

 

Seems like the tricky bit here is when you try to 3d-ify (sounds like making a digitally-created Holy Trinity) an existing 2d image, you have to somehow rubber-stamp a new background to cover the background layer during the camera moves. Bourke, do you know if the website you linked (http://www.waanzee.nl/projects/rotterdam_port_experience_-_history/) did it this way, or did they composite different images?

I agree, it looks great, though I haven't seen anything cooler in this direction than Michel Gondry's 1995(!) Rolling Stones "Like a Rolling Stone" video done with stereo mounted cameras. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziRR5h3b4YU) I've only been able to see it on youtube. Would love to see it in full-res HD!
